    The phone photographer

You take hundreds of pictures and love few of them. Learn to choose, edit and sequence the ones that matter.

Documentary photographer based in Lisbon, with fifteen years of editorial work for magazines and newspapers across Europe.

She has spent her career photographing ordinary days: market stalls at dawn, tram rides, kitchen tables. Slow Shutter is the course she wished she had been given, practical, unhurried and focused on seeing before shooting.

Contact sheet from week six

Frames from the final assignment. Every photograph was made within a mile of the student's front door.

Kind words

What students notice after six weeks

I stopped chasing landmarks. My own bus stop became my best series, and Ines's feedback made me brave enough to print it.

Marta OliveiraPorto

Six weeks, one camera, no gear envy. The contact sheet lesson changed how I choose pictures forever.

Daniel OkaforManchester

Calm, practical and never preachy. I look forward to my morning walk with a camera now.

Hana TakedaOsaka

The ethics lesson alone was worth the price. I photograph my neighbours with far more care.

Lucas FerreiraSão Paulo

I had a decade of unused cameras. Now I have a portfolio of twenty frames I am proud of.

Priya RamanToronto

Mentorship calls with Ines were gentle but honest. She spotted my habits in minutes.
